We have heard of the passing of Bill Lane today.
Bill was one of BYGC’s very early members ( he joined in November, 2010).
Bill would mainly chat with us on his computer at work. He had a wicked sense of humour. He would keep us entertained for a while, and then say that he had better get back to work.
He posted some wonderful photos from his home town, which was Anchorage, Alaska. That sure made me realise that we lived in completely different worlds, climate-wise. He would joke about coming to Australia and camping in my yard, and called me the Mayor of Wollongong.
Bill once sent me a mug from Alaska; it’s very large, as was Bill’s personality. I intend to fill it with beer this afternoon and drink a toast to him.
Feel free to add any anecdotes about Bill on this forum.
Bill, I will miss you! hugsiciles

I am so sorry to read this. I don't knew him, but it is ever make to cry, if someone passed away. ((
Much power to his family.
It is so sad to know that we are only left with memories of Bill. I have missed him for several months, but had hopes that his health would improve and he would be back with us soon. I will always treasure the time Bill spent with us at BYGC with his amusing personality. Every time Bill came in to chat you just knew he was going to put a huge smile on your face. My sincere sympathy goes out to his family at this time.
Very sad news indeed.
He made alot of friends here at BYGC myself included and was a very bright personality for us all to enjoy.
RIP Bill :cray:
Oh what sad news. I only got to chat with Bill a few times, but those times were priceless. He lifted my spirits more than once and I do hope I returned the favor. You can tell that he was part of the core of the BYGC family. RIP Bill....may your spirit soar with the birds you loved.

Bill was always a joy to chat with, he has joined our other BYGC family. They are sitting around now comparing notes and having a little nip or two....
<span style="font-size:150]I didn't know Bill to good, but he seemed to have a great personality and saying the funniest things sometimes I would read on the chat. He will be missed......RIP Bill ">
I am Bill's ex-wife. We had 3 kids together, and he adopted my other 4 from a previous marriage. We hit a rough spot and split up. We have remained friends. He was the love of my life. He loved this chat forum.
I'm glad that you remained friends. Bill was very easy to be friends with. He was always the same, popping in and out of here. He always had something interesting to say, and could tell the corniest jokes, lol. Everybody on BYGC liked Bill.
Once again, our condolences, he was a great bloke!
He will be missed.

I was very sad to hear of Bill's passing. He was always so encouraging and funny. It was good to hear him talk about his dog that he loved so much. Rest in peace Bill with all our other BYGC members who have passed. There must be quite the garden with birds in the heavens! Prayers for Bill and his family.
