Very sad news to report about our "Granny". I found the below Obit when doing searches. I periodically had been doing searches and found her address where she had moved from Chattanooga to Macon to be with her daughter. I sent a note to that Macon address in April hoping that she would see it or answer; I never heard back, but the note went through as it was not returned to me.

<span style="font-size:150]I found this Obit as posted below">

<span style="font-size:150]Ruth Ann Calahan, passed away on May 1, 2016. Born in Crossville, Tenn., Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Edna Carey. She is survived by her husband, Bobby Nelson Calahan, of Chattanooga; her daughter, Bridget Braley (Stan),of Macon, Ga.; grandsons, Spencer Braley (Catherine), of Macon, Ga., and Andrew Braley, of Macon, Ga.; and great-grandson, Beau Braley, of Macon, Ga. Perhaps we can use this forum to remember her as she was a big part of our cam family.

Hi Granny, :rose:

you know, I told you once wrote that I lack in such exceptional cases, the right words, but I will try.

I thank you for your friendship, to show your infinite patience with how

I can post things in "our" Forum. You showed me that you can learn "everything" if you really want it. is patiently. How many times I wanted to give up, but no, you have motivated me again and try again, and always told: "It seems no one when you practice." And you were right. I then ventured, pictures to posten.Vielen gratitude.

Dear Granny, wherever you are now, I'll never forget you. :( :cray:

This is such saddening news to read.

Granny was a kind and very caring person, she thought a lot of everyone in this community and brought us a lot of laughs. Granny will forever be missed.

Granny held the largest share of all posts on this community. 39,295 which is actually 50.76% of the entire forums posts at this current time. Her favorite thing to do appeared to be taking screenshots of the cams and posting them, she must have watched them for hundreds, if not, thousands of hours. We have a huge amount to look back on and remember her by.

Rest in Peace Granny.

Remembering "Granny" whose many posts, and enthusiasm for BYGC, made a lasting impression here.

We have lost yet another 'family' member, and like all family members, we grow to love them over the years.

Ruth was special. She was always around, not necessarily on chat all the time, but like a good friend, always there. Many of us had further friendships with her through emails and PMs. She loved photos and family. She was a very private person, but did occasionally talk about her grandchildren. Whenever we visited our grandkids she would say "take your camera and get lots of pics of Cooper and Fynn".

Her forte, of course, was her screenshots. I've been looking through (literally) thousands of her shots. Her captions were always delightful.

While the news of Ruth's passing is sad beyond words, I think we would all agree that it is good to have closure. There has been an air of uncertainty since 11th July, last year, when she last posted. She has joined our other late members in our memories, and I just know that Ruth, Kezza and Cross will be having a fine old chinwag.

I'll always miss you, Granny. :giveheart: :rose:

Wow!Words just can't express how I'm feeling. So I'm going to try to say what's in my heart.

Granny, when I first came on this site, you were so nice to me and always spoke.I loved chatting with you,it was so easy to talk to you,I felt that I knew you forever.

You always made up awesome birthday cards and all other cards.I was so surprised of the card you did up for me.It made my day.

I'm not sure what all was going on with you,but I know in my heart, you're not suffering anymore. Now you can see us all here on earth and be our guardian angel!!

I'm praying God is with your family every step of this journey they're enduring now,and your friends from all over as well.

Granny,I'll miss you but I know one things for sure......You'll never be forgotten .......by ANYONE!!!!!!

Please know that you are still loved and respected and always will be!!!!

How will we miss Granny....let me count the ways.

Granny was one of my PM buddies and always quick to teach me how to post screenshots and youtubes and got after me to post more; but who could post more than our Granny....she was the award winner for posting screenshots...to our delight when we were away or asleep, we always knew what was going on.

I deeply regret that I never had a chance to meet her. We talked about someday meeting halfway between our two homes less than two hours away to see the Berry College Eagles. Unfortunately that someday never came.

We have a wealth of screenshots to remember Granny with and we can continue her legacy by continuing what she started..... posting screenshots to be saved and shared by all.

Rest in peace, Granny, we love you and miss you and will never forget you.

Susanne

<span style="color: #008000]The loss of granny is profound…I have been sad for days. However, I always like to think on the positive side. With that said, she has added so much joy and laughter to my life and I am so very grateful she was a part of it. I looked back at my private messages from granny. I picked up some of the words repeated over and over in them. They were">

I rarely read here on BYGC and post even less. Nevertheless I knew Granny, her pictures, her humorous comments. Her passing makes me sad.

Rest in peace, dear Granny.

I wish her relatives and friends that the sorrow (which is so big these days, weeks, months) sometimes will be changing in a smile of loving memory.

PS: I have a image in my thoughts: Granny, Kezza and Cross, sitting in heaven around a laptop, watching our forum, commenting and gickling .... a nice thought.
